Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.

Sam was having a little sad. He wished to have a new pal to play with. One day, while he was running in the woods, he noticed something different. It was a little creature with colorful fur. Sam quietly approached the creature and spoke, "Hello! What's your identity?" The creature smiled and told Sam, "You can call me Lily!" And so, Sam made a new mate. They spent the rest of the day playing together.
Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be great pals forever.
